Every website wants your data. Most of them have worked out that the easiest way to get it is to make refusing harder than accepting. Bright green buttons that say "Accept All" next to invisible grey text that says "manage preferences" which opens 47 toggles, all pre-ticked to on, behind three sub-menus. They call it "consent."
